Our History

Erickson Machine Tools has been developing metal working solutions for our hundreds of customers since Kenneth E. Erickson, Sr., after nearly 12 years in the machine tool business, began the company in 1960.  In the early 1980s, Kenneth E. Erickson, Jr. became president of the company upon his father's retirement.

Ken’s son Kurt is now Vice President, Sales, and is taking on an increasing role in the management of EMT.  Kurt has been involved in EMT’s success since 1995 and became a Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer in 1998.  He is President of the Roland-Story School Board, ensuring a great education for his son, Wyatt.  Kurt is steering EMT toward a customer-satisfied future.
